4 Victims Identified After Deadly Crash

(ConservativeHub.com) – Every time the military deploys a soldier, there’s a chance they will give their life in the name of freedom. Four young marines sacrificed everything during annual NATO training exercises off the coast of Norway while flying in an MV-22B Osprey helicopter.

On Friday, March 18, four Marines from the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing failed to report back after a training flight in Northern Norway. Search teams discovered the men died after their helicopter crashed. The four marines who in question are Gunnery Sgt. James W. Speedy, Capt. Ross A. Reynolds, Capt. Matthew J. Tomkiewicz, and Cpl. Jacob M. Moore. The New York Post shared photos of the men:

The weather conditions were incredibly difficult when officials went to find and investigate the crash site. Thankfully, police were able to retrieve the bodies and return them to their families here in the US. Hopefully, the investigation into the cause of the crash will conclude soon to provide more insight into just what happened to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

These four Marines were executing their mission to the best of their ability alongside 30,000 NATO troops during these annual military exercises. According to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Maj. Gen. Michael Cederholm, the Marines would ensure that no member’s sacrifice would go unappreciated.

We extend our deepest sympathies to these men and their loved ones during this heartbreaking time.
