(ConservativeHub.com) – Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) has slammed former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick, as Trump announced his running mate to be Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio). Kinzinger in his comments said that the first-term senator has previously expressed opposition to providing aid to Ukraine as it tries to fight off the Russian attack.
On Monday, July 15, Kinzinger argued that Trump’s choice was not only being celebrated in Milwaukee, where the Republican National Convention took place this week, but also in Moscow, the capital of Russia. During his appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Kinzinger said that Vance is a Senator who has very openly and loudly stated that he does not care about what will happen in Ukraine and has opposed U.S. aid to the country. According to home, this is at a time when the largest defense of a nation since World War II is underway.
Kinzinger, who has been a vocal supporter of Ukraine and defending the country, argued that the war-torn citizens of Ukraine were in the trenches and that the only thing they have in common is that they are defending their home. He continued by saying the only thing that the United States needs to do is help them finance that, and yet people like Vance have “aggressively parroted” the talking points of Russia.
He continued by blasting Trump for making a “terrible pick” of running mate. He noted that to him, this was a guy who was originally anti-Trump but now is the “biggest pro-Trumper.” Vance has “no moral soul,” Kinzinger argued.
