(ConservativeHub.com) – Small town Christmas parades should be a time of community and joy. However, that was not the case when 39-year-old Darrell Brooks drove his SUV into parade attendees in Waukesha, Wisconsin on November 21. While a court already charged him with 6 counts of first-degree intentional homicide from the incident, Brooks is now facing an additional 71 charges related to his actions in the incident.
On Wednesday, January 12, criminal prosecutors filed a new complaint with 71 charges against Brooks. Those new charges range from reckless endangerment and battery to hit-and-run involving death and bail jumping.
The New York Post shared pictures of Brooks and the aftermath of his crimes:

In addition to these new counts, Brooks also faces two domestic abuse charges. According to the complaint, he hit his ex-girlfriend in the face while driving the SUV just before he drove through the parade.
While Brooks was out on a $1,000 bail when he chose to drive into parade attendees, the courts are now holding him on a $5-million bail. He had a preliminary hearing on Friday, January 14, where the judge decided the charges against him will proceed to trial. Looking at all these facts, Americans are now wondering if he’ll face justice for these horrible atrocities, and if so, what that could look like.
