(ConservativeHub.com) – On Monday, May 20, conservative lawyer George Conway argued that former President Donald Trump had inaccurately described the Manhattan courthouse security.

Earlier that day, Trump had told reporters that the scene outside of the New York City courthouse was comparable to Fort Knox. He said the outside of the courthouse looked the same way that Fort Knox was supposed to look. According to him, he had never seen so many police officers anywhere, because they wanted to ensure that no one would “come down.” He alleged that there was not a civilian present within three blocks of the courthouse.

The Kentucky military installation in Fort Knox is world-renowned for its intense security, as it is the home of the U.S. Bullion Depository. This is the location where a large amount of the U.S. Treasury’s gold is currently located.

Conway, who has often criticized the former President, argued in a post on the social media platform X, that this was an “amazing lie,” even for him. He continued by stating that movement around the courthouse was almost completely free. He shared a video from outside of the courthouse saying that it did not at all look like Fort Knox.

Similarly, MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle slammed Trump’s comment, saying that his description of the location was “false.” She added that what Trump said was not accurate or realistic and that it was not a depiction of the truth. She said that there were people outside the courtroom barriers and that the nearby park was open to everyone.
