Authorities Identify Suspect in Death of Couple

Suspect NAMED After Horrific Murders – Look Who It Is

( – Unprovoked murders are some of the most tragic deaths in the world. When this horror becomes an unsolved case, healing and closure remain that much more difficult. Thankfully, police were able to identify the likely killer after learning of a confession the suspect made to a friend soon after the double homicide.

On August 18, 2021, travelers in Moab, Utah, found the bodies of a newlywed couple. Tourists found Kylen Schulte, 24, and her wife, Crystal Turner, 38, dead near their campsite in the South Mesa area of the La Sal Mountains. The suspect is Adam Pinkusiewicz, who worked at McDonald’s with Turner and lived out of his car.

The New York Post shared photos of all involved:

Pinkusiewicz fled Utah shortly after Turner’s and Schulte’s deaths. A statement from the Grand County Sheriff’s Office revealed Pinkusiewicz killed himself after killing the two women and fleeing. Authorities have not disclosed details about his suicide. The motive for the killings is still unknown.

At one point during the investigation, police wondered if the deaths related to the disappearance of Gabby Petito last year, but the FBI recently announced there was no connection between the two. While this double homicide is horrendous, the fact there is now a suspect will hopefully bring a sense of peace to the loved ones of the deceased. Authorities are also continuing to investigate the situation.
