(ConservativeHub.com) – President Joe Biden hailed the return of four more hostages from Gaza to Israel while promising that the United States would not stop until all the hostages have returned home and there is a cease-fire.

The operation that led to the rescue of the four hostages received a lot of praise from Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron during their Paris joint press conference. The two leaders also noted that there was a strong collaboration between their two countries focused on ensuring that the West would continue its support to Ukraine, which has been fighting against the Russian invasion for the last two years.

During his remarks, Biden said that they “won’t stop working” until a ceasefire was reached and all the hostages had returned home.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in collaboration with the Israel Securities Authority and Israel Police announced that they had rescued four hostages during a special operation. The four hostages had been kidnapped by Hamas, a Palestinian militant group in control of Gaza, on October 7 during the attack at the Nova music festival. The military announced that they were in “good” medical condition and that they had been taken to a medical center for additional testing. Reports indicate that over 200 Palestinians were killed in the raid that led to the rescues.

In his remarks, Macron, who spoke before Biden, also praised the rescue of the hostages while calling for a cease-fire in the conflict. He argued this would help bring “lasting peace” in the country.

Macron specifically noted that they were hoping to open up the possibility of a political solution that would ensure the lasting peace and safety of both people.
