Biden Reportedly Interested in Working With Terry McAuliffe

( – Longtime Democratic political operative and former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe recently lost his bid to return to the Virginia governor’s mansion. Political newcomer Glenn Youngkin scored a decisive four-point victory amid a near-endless stream of campaign gaffes by McAuliffe. Nevertheless, President Joe Biden recently indicated an interest in working with him.

On November 11, Punchbowl News founder Jake Sherman reported Biden administration officials were trying to “find a place” for McAuliffe to serve without any available cabinet-level positions.

According to Sherman, “multiple high-level” White House sources tipped him off about the apparent move. A subsequent Punchbowl report didn’t indicate McAuliffe’s interest in serving in the White House; it only said the White House expressed interest in bringing him on board.

As one might expect, the Republican response to the news was swift. Trump’s former White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, didn’t mince words during a Fox News Primetime interview on Thursday, November 11. McEnany blasted Biden for considering an appointment for McAuliffe, whom she described as “the king of the establishment” and the “ultimate insider.”

What do you think? Would the addition of McAuliffe help President Biden salvage his plummeting approval ratings, or would it have a chilling effect on voters nationwide?
