New Executive ORDER – White House Strikes Again!
(ConservativeHub.com) – Since the US Supreme Court overturned its decades-old precedent set by Roe v. Wade a few weeks ago, Democrats have scrambled looking for ways to legalize abortion across the nation or at least make it more accessible in states where it is now illegal. President Joe Biden took a step toward making abortion easier to access by issuing an Executive Order last week.
On Friday, July 8, Biden signed the Executive Order on Protecting Access to Reproductive Healthcare Services into law. It asks the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) to report on how to “protect and expand” abortions and abortion medications, including emergency contraception and education and outreach services about reproductive health.
The order details how the US Attorney General will meet with public interest organizations and private, pro bono attorneys to “encourage” lawyers to assist women seeking abortion nationwide. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke out against Biden’s latest move.

The Executive Order also asks the Secretary of Homeland Security “to address the potential threat” of companies selling health-related data that states might use as circumstantial evidence to guess whether a woman had an abortion. However, the actions listed in this executive order must comply with federal law, and Biden has admitted that his capabilities are limited now that the Supreme Court has returned abortion issues to the states.
