( – In his new book “The Squad: AOC and the Hope of a Political Revolution,” The Intercept’s Ryan Grim claimed that former President Bill Clinton ripped the 2016 campaign election of his wife Hillary Clinton.

Fox News recently reported that according to the passage in the book, Bill Clinton criticized his wife’s campaign for not being effective in its communications, and even claimed that it would not be able to sell “p—- on a troop train.”

The statement was allegedly made when Bill Clinton was talking with a close confidante in the later half of 2016. However, it only came out during a time when the Democrats were attempting to get Hillary Clinton to assist in the 2024 re-election efforts of President Joe Biden.

Grim seems to be the first person to report on these alleged comments by the former President. In that portion of the book, he is specifically examining the Clinton campaign’s communication efforts as well as the communication of Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who at the time was competing in the Democratic primary race.

In the book, Grim claimed that this was not the first time that Bill Clinton had slammed Hillary’s campaign. According to the book, the former President previously warned his wide campaign that they should not avoid swing states. Fox News reported that Hillary Clinton was criticized for not campaigning sufficiently in Midwestern states. Many reportedly credit this as part of the reason Trump ultimately claimed victory in the election.
