Democratic Leaders ARRESTED – They Went Too Far!
(ConservativeHub.com) – The Supreme Court’s recent overturn of Roe v. Wade pushed pro-choice advocates to protest all across the US in various cities. However, they didn’t stop there. Numerous progressive Democrats, including many members of the far Left “Squad,” blocked a street outside the Supreme Court this week and ignored demands from Capitol Police to disperse. So, the district guardians chose to arrest the 35 protestors, including 17 Congress members.
On Tuesday, July 19, a swarm of protestors gathered to block off First Street, NE, in front of the Supreme Court. Once the demonstration began, Capitol Police posted on Twitter that the gathering blocking traffic was against the law, and they would begin arresting people after they issued three warnings.
The police followed through on their word and policy, arresting demonstrators, including Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who held her hands behind her back despite not having any restraining devices on her, Cori Bush (D-MO), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
Correction: We made a total of 35 arrests for Crowding, Obstructing or Incommoding (DC Code § 22–1307).
That arrest number includes 17 Members of Congress.

Representative Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) posted a statement on her website shortly after her arrest, stating, “There is no democracy if women do not have control over their own bodies and decisions about their own health, including reproductive care.” She also warned listeners the group would continue to protest until lawmakers make changes.
This was just one of the dozens of protests that have been occurring in DC since the SCOTUS sent the decision of abortion legality to states to decide. Should these legislators speak with their state lawmakers, who are now in charge of this issue, rather than the US Supreme Court?
