Casey DeSantis Attends Event in Her Husband’s Place

(ConservativeHub.com) – Casey DeSantis, the wife of Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, went viral after a clip of her attending an event in her husband’s place emerged online, according to a report from Newsweek.

On August 28, Ron DeSantis, who is running in the 2024 Republican primary election, was supposed to headline Congressman Jeff Duncan’s 12^th annual Faith and Freedom BBQ in Anderson. However, instead of the presidential candidate, it was his wife who delivered the speech. Ron DeSantis returned to his home state where he started to prepare for then-Tropical Storm Idalia. It landed in Florida last week as a hurricane, causing significant damage in multiple southeastern states.

This is not the first time that Case DeSantis has gotten involved in her husband’s campaign stops. However, it was the first time that she had taken his place during an event. During her speech, she gave a campaign speech and spoke about DeSantis’s plans and policies. She also told a number of anecdotes about her children, which has led to many supporters of former President Donald Trump mocking her.

Some of the stories she shared related to bringing her children to the first Republican debate and her husband telling her 5-year-old why it was not right to lock their three-year-old in the bathroom right before the debate. She then referred to some of the other conversations and debates with their children stating that this was what was on their mind right before the presidential debate.

As reported by Newsweek, X Account @Miguelifornia, which supports 2024 presidential candidate Trump, shared a clip of all the anecdotes, stating that Casey DeSantis was once again trying to make it seem like “her bad parenting & bratty destructive kids are cute.” Another user reportedly said Casey’s comments were “painful” to listen to.
