GOP Lawmakers STAND UP to China – GENIUS Plan Revealed!
(ConservativeHub.com) – To hold China accountable for its rampant internet censorship, House Republican Study Committee (RSC) member Brian Mast (R-FL) intends to introduce the China Social Media Reciprocity Act. A Fox News exclusive report said the RSC bill would prevent Big Tech companies from allowing Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members to have a presence on their platforms. China has already imposed such limits on US officials on its social media.
The legislation would apply to US social media companies. It would remain in effect until Chinese officials removed censorship on their own platforms. The requirement would be to allow people to access information from the US government without restrictions.

The bill gives Congress the authority to decide when China meets its requirements. Mast explains the CCP works hard to “keep American ideas off of their social platforms.” He said this bill would help to prevent Chinese officials from “spew[ing] propaganda” on American sites until they stop blocking US content on theirs.
RSC Chairman Jim Banks (R-IN) noted that CCP leaders wouldn’t let their citizens use US platforms, but they continue to do so to push their ideas. He also said Big Tech has no qualms about censoring conservative views but has been hesitant to do the same to CCP members who have spread significant misinformation. He called it “hypocrisy.”
