(ConservativeHub.com) – Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has blasted House Republicans for focusing on investigations rather than bettering the lives of the American voters that voted for them. Schumer during a CNN interview called the current agenda followed by the GOP “extreme” and pointed out that it was entirely focused on the wrong thing.

Votes in the House have predominantly been passing along partisan lines. On Tuesday, the Select Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government in the Judiciary Committee was created by a partisan vote. Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is leading it, and the subcommittee will focus on many of the cases that Republican members have used against the Democrats throughout their campaign. So far, the predominant focus is meant to be placed on the politicization of government agencies, which is something the GOP had been adamant about since the start of the investigations against former President Donald Trump. The cases against former President Donald Trump are also going to be placed under the microscope of the GOP.

Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), head of the House Oversight Committee, has also launched an investigation into President Biden and his family’s business affairs. Following through with a longstanding promise to investigate whether the Biden family is compromised, Comer has sent a letter requesting information and documents from the Treasury Department.

Finally, the House Foreign Affairs Committee will focus on an investigation into the unorganized withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 which led to the country falling under the control of the Taliban. Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) is the leader of the investigation, The Hill reported.
