(ConservativeHub.com) – Colin Kaepernick posted on social media on Monday, July 24, after he received the endorsements from his NFL colleagues in a new Nike ad. Some reports have have pointed out that this comes amid his hopes that he could eventually return to the NFL.

Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, put out a tweet with the ad, featuring a video of himself throwing at targets saying that they were staying “Sharp.” The video also featured many of his NFL colleagues including Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ceedee Lamb, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne,  New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave,  Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris, and Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry.

Bourne in the video can be heard saying that Kaepernick looked “great” and added that he still had at least another six good years left. Lamb also pointed out that he still had it.

The video seemed to have been recorded at Nike HQ in Oregon, according to Fox News. All of the athletes featured in the ad are endorsed by Nike, but it is unclear whether or not they are being paid to be a part of the ad or if it is a part of their general contract.

Kaepernick has been out of the game since the 2016 season, with his final appearance having been on Jan. 1, 2017. Instead, he has been spending his time on social activism and has been pushing for prisons and the police to be abolished. He has also previously compared the NFL Draft to a slave auction while also claiming the NFL owners blackballed him.
