(ConservativeHub.com) – Democrats have done everything in their power to undermine Donald Trump’s presidency. They tried to prevent him from assuming office by contesting his Electoral College victory. They tried impeaching him in 2020.
Trump’s second impeachment trial is scheduled to begin in February. Through impeachment, Democrats aim to ban him from holding public office in the future. However, it remains uncertain whether there is any legal basis for bringing these proceedings against a president who has left the White House.

Therefore, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) and other Democrats now want to invoke the “insurrection clause” of the 14th Amendment against Trump. If successful, it would take a two-thirds vote in the House and the Senate to allow Trump to run for office again. However, Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) said he doesn’t think Congress can invoke the amendment, and some reports say even if it could be used, the process might take years.
In the meantime, the nation is facing its worst national health crisis in a hundred years and economic ruin in the wake of quarantines and other restrictions. Maybe it’s time Democrats turned their attention to more important matters than their vendetta against Donald Trump.
