Donald Trump WINS – New Poll Data Released
(ConservativeHub.com) – Straw polls offer a quick snapshot into what a group may think, although they lack a substantial and diverse sample size, making them unreliable predictors of the future. Still, they shed some light on tricky subjects, such as who certain groups of Republicans would more likely support in the 2024 presidential primary race. A new straw poll suggested that young GOP supporters prefer former President Donald Trump to run in 2024 over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
On Sunday, July 24, Fox News shared exclusive data from a straw poll of Turning Point USA conference attendees at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit. According to the results, 78.7% of young Republicans at the conference would vote for Trump in a presidential primary, compared to only 19% who would choose DeSantis. A meager 1% would support South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

It’s important to note this poll occurred immediately after Trump spoke at the conference on Saturday night, although DeSantis opened the event on Friday. While neither has officially declared a 2024 bid for the White House, Trump continues to tease the possibility of another run.
Another question from the straw poll revealed that 30.3% of Turning Point attendees believe California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) would be the most difficult Democrat to beat in 2024, with Michelle Obama being second-most difficult to beat at 13.6%.
