Donald Trump Makes 3 Surprise Endorsements

( – Since leaving office, former President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind multiple people running in the 2020 midterms. His endorsement has been highly sought after by Republican candidates over the course of that time. In the face of rumors Texas may turn blue, Trump just endorsed three Republicans running in Texas.

The former president formally announced his backing for Representatives Troy Nehls, Lance Gooden, and Randy Weber. The move came shortly after Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Texas would turn Democrat eventually.

Trump pointed out Nehls’ support for the military and police, as well as his focus on securing the border. He spoke of how Gooden supports the Second Amendment and praised his work on stopping illegal border crossings. In addition, Trump held up Weber as a steadfast supporter of the America First agenda.

Nehls was an original nominee to the January 6 committee before Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) pulled all GOP nominees. Nehls has also proposed a GOP committee to investigate January 6. Gooden is a whistleblower on the alleged Biden ghost flights trafficking illegal immigrants around the country, and Weber voted to debate certifying the election.

Trump’s endorsements of the trio of GOP lawmakers are in defiance of AOC’s proclamation. At a recent rally in Texas, he said that the state would never go blue.
