(ConservativeHub.com) – Since SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk took over Twitter earlier this year, various celebrities have left the platform in protest. In contrast, others celebrate the renewed commitment to free speech. The latest drama came from singer Elton John, who recently said he would stop posting on the social media site because, in his words, it has a policy that “will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.”
On Friday, December 9, the “Rocketman” singer announced he would no longer use Musk’s company to tell the world his thoughts and feelings.
All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world.

Musk quickly responded that he loves John’s music and asked him for specific examples of misinformation that led to his decision to leave. As of Tuesday, December 13, the singer had not provided any definitive “misinformation” that led to his departure.
Many Twitter users also responded to the “Tiny Dancer” singer’s post, with some applauding his decision and saying they’re planning to leave the platform as well, while many others mocked and criticized him for his stance. President Donald Trump’s former lawyer Rudy Giuliani blasted John for the move, highlighting how he has supported Conservatives in the past:

John is just the latest Hollywood name to leave Twitter. Recent departures include but are not limited to Whoopi Goldberg, Shonda Rhimes, and singer Sara Bareilles. However, as some leave, others, previously banned, have returned to the site, including Roger Stone.
