(ConservativeHub.com) – Erin Andrews, who is one of the biggest names in sports media, recalled how she was almost scared off pursuing the job before the start of her career. She said that when she first started in the industry, she lived a nightmare.

Andrews shared during an appearance on “Calm Down,” a podcast with Charissa Thompson, that a Tampa Bay Buccaneers member had made her cry because of his “nasty” treatment of her. At the time, she had been working for a station in Orlando, and they really wanted to have access to some of the sound from the team’s locker room. She shared how at that time, a particular player had been very mean to her, turning away from her and telling her that she needed to go back, rehearse her questions, and return when she was ready to continue.

She shared that the comment had left her mortified. She said that at the time, she was only 19 to 20 years old and that while she had practiced, she ended up slipping up slightly and stumbling. She pointed out that the player had known she was young, and following his comments, she had tears streaming down her face.

However, two other team members Derrick Brooks and John Lynch had comforted her and asked her what she needed. Andrews did not mention the name of the player that had caused her to cry.

Thomspon noted that she had never heard Andrews share that story before and appeared to be shocked at the retelling.
