Victims’ Families DEMAND Postmortem Compensation – Will They Get It?
(ConservativeHub.com) – At the end of May, a gunman targeted a Uvalde, Texas elementary school, killing 19 children and two adults and injuring many more. Now, four of the families of children who the gunman shot but didn’t kill are suing the late alleged criminal’s estate for $100 million in damages.
On Monday, June 6, attorney Thomas J. Henry announced he was representing four families of injured children from the Robb Elementary School shooting in their fight to seek damages. The four plaintiffs are suing Ramos’ estate for a minimum of $1 million in direct bodily injury and mental anguish damages and $100 million in punitive damages.
CNN Correspondent Omar Jimenez shared a quote from the lawsuit:
The families of four Robb elementary school survivors are now suing the estate of the Uvalde shooter for damages alleging in part,“he intentionally injured these young children, stole their innocence, and forever changed their lives.”

The four children represented in this lawsuit, all 9 or 10 years old, have undergone numerous surgeries and immense emotional trauma, something they must live with for the rest of their lives. According to the lawsuit, they each “suffered severe and permanent bodily injuries.”
If successful, the lawsuit would help pay for the children’s past and future medical bills, mental anguish, physical impairment, and more. This attempt to obtain justice represents just one of the many likely lawsuits that will take shape after the horrific event that took May 24.
