Alec Baldwin ACCUSED – Legal Action Filed!
(ConservativeHub.com) – Alec Baldwin hasn’t been short on scandals lately, from the “Rust” movie set shooting that killed a cinematographer to facing a lawsuit over sending his fans after a mourning family. While a medical investigator declared the former an accident in mid-August, the latter is now pursuing its second civil tort. The family of a Marine who died last year is suing the actor for damages again after he allegedly purposefully invaded their privacy, causing them emotional distress.
On August 26, 2021, a suicide bomber killed over a dozen US soldiers assisting with the Afghanistan evacuation near the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. Marine Lance Corporal Rylee J McCollum was among those who lost their lives that day serving his nation.
Knowing that information, actor Alec Baldwin found one of McCollum’s sisters on Instagram and sent her a $5,000 check to give to his widow and her baby, born days after his death. Yet, the same sister later posted a photo of a protest in Washington, DC, on January 6, 2021. Baldwin saw the post and reportedly accused her of being an insurrectionist. He’s accused of then reposting her photo on his Instagram, riling up his followers, who harassed her and sent her hateful messages.

A previous lawsuit filed by the family in Wyoming failed after the judge said the court had no authority over Baldwin, a New York resident. McCollum’s kin refiled their claim in New York on August 26, asking for $25 million in damages for his actions.
