(ConservativeHub.com) – For some conservatives, serious questions still linger about the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election. Allegations of widespread voting irregularities and election fraud abound. State legislatures are now pushing back against this threat, introducing hundreds of election-related bills in 47 states to protect the integrity of elections.
OAN reported that both Republican-led chambers of the Florida legislature passed a new bill strengthening the state’s election security last Thursday, April 29.
The bill will require voters to request a mail-in ballot for each election. Current law requires them to do so only once every four years. It will require voters to provide proper identification when requesting clearance to vote by mail, restrict how many ballots an individual can drop off, and limit dropbox hours and locations in some areas.

Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis called for the passage of election security measures during his March State of the State speech and has indicated his intention to sign the legislation into law.
The state needed to ensure its future elections “are always transparent and run efficiently,” he said. Elections provide for “one person, one vote,” and Florida, therefore, shouldn’t allow ballot harvesting. It’s time for Florida to get “ahead of the curve” when running elections.
Florida joins other key swing states, like Georgia, in introducing tighter rules around elections.
