(ConservativeHub.com) – In 2009, Texas Tech fired football coach Mike Leach after a scandal leaked indicating he allegedly mistreated wide receiver Adam James after a concussion. Leach claims there was no investigation into the incident and maintains his innocence to this day. With this, the coach has refused to give up the legal battle against his former employer.
On Monday, December 27, Leach held a press conference ahead of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, where his current school, Missouri State, faced off against Texas Tech. During the event, Leach called out former Texas Tech Chancellor Kent Hance for handling the situation poorly, claiming the college hid public records from him and his legal team.
USA Today shared another quote from the conference:
Mike Leach said Monday he will fight Texas Tech "forever" if he has to for the roughly $2.5 million he believes he is owed. https://t.co/IM8Wu0zX1V

Leach believes Texas Tech still owes him millions of dollars, but he indicated he would settle with the college for $2.4 million. Despite his multiple lawsuits, both a Texas appeals court and the Texas Supreme Court have ruled against Leach and his appeals to continue pursuing his legal battle. While Leach may continue this fight for another dozen years, it appears his campaign is at a standstill, no matter how much press he drums up about the situation.
