(ConservativeHub.com) – Georgetown University Professor Dr. John Gentry, who worked as an intelligence analyst for the CIA for 12 years, has claimed that the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and attempts to politicize the intelligence community are a big problem. According to Fox News, he’s argued that he feels confident that these agencies will likely try to interfere with the 2024 presidential election in the same way they had done in 2020.
Gentry, who has released a new book titled “Neutering the CIA: Why US Intelligence Versus Trump Has Long-Term Consequences,” stated that he believes the intelligence community’s proverbial deep state was going to reemerge and that a GOP candidate would once again be viewed as a possible threat to the internal policies.
Ahead of the 2020 election, 51 former intelligence officials signed a letter following the New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s laptop in which they discredited the story and argued that these allegations displayed characteristics of a “Russian information Operation.”
The CIA the proceeded to approve the release of the letter, Fox News reported.
Gentry, however, told Fox News Digital that the move to downplay the story about the laptop had been “political” and that a source that is highly placed revealed to him that the move was explicitly designed to assist the campaign of current President Joe Biden.
He claimed that in the past few weeks, there has also been evidence that both former and current intelligence agency members will become active in 2024 against the Republican presidential nominee.
