(ConservativeHub.com) – Two special forces soldiers argued in an interview with Fox News Digital that former President Donald Trump was “extremely lucky” to have survived the recent assassination attempt against him during Saturday’s Pennsylvania rally.
Marine veteran James Pechi, who served as a Green Beret James Pechi, said that Trump was very lucky to still be alive. He noted that he had been looking at the footage in order to determine what happened during the incident. Pechi added that he thought the attacker shot five times, and that a bullet grazed Trump’s ear and “did some damage.”
Pechi, who was previously a part of the Special Operations Target Interdiction Course (SOTIC), currently called the Special Forces Sniper Course, argued that there was no question that Trump would have been killed if he had ended up coming into closer contact with the bullet.
Meanwhile, Former Green Beret chief warrant officer Gary Seideman similarly told the outlet that Trump had “good fortune” to survive such an attack from a shooter. He pointed out how fortunate it was that Trump turned his head the way he did and that the shooter merely grazed him. He did. however, acknowledge the “unfortunate” fact that another innocent life was lost at the rally.
He continued by noting that things could have been extremely worse if Trump’s head had been at a different angle.
The man who is alleged to have fired shots at the rally was identified as a 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Brooks.
