(ConservativeHub.com) – The California Registry of Charities and Fundraisers reportedly declared the Archewell Foundation, of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, “delinquent” recently over what seemed to be an information and payment mishap.

In May, the organization reportedly received a notice that it was not in good standing and therefore not allowed to take part in actions that required registration. Such actions include distributing charitable funds and soliciting.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta and the Archewell Foundation Representatives signed off on the notice.

However, a spokesperson for the charity released a statement saying that following investigative measures, the organization determined that it is still “fully compliant and in good standing.” The spokesperson added that all paperwork was filed “without error or wrongdoing,” while payments were delivered “promptly.”

One source said that charity actually made the original filing on time and that the payment was sent but never received. The source said the Foundation only found out about the issue after the notice, but it reportedly resubmitted the payment in order to rectify the issue. On May 14, the attorney general’s office reportedly revealed that the charity was in good standing and the problem had been resolved.

Another source said that the Foundation submitted the required charity tax filings, and that all the payments had been sent to the Attorney General’s office using tracked mail. These payments were all received on time, according to that source.

The letter from the attorney general earlier in May stated that the last renewal for the foundation had been completed on Febuary 2, 2023.
