(ConservativeHub.com) – All eyes will be on the midterm elections in the new year. As campaigns start to roll out, some races will surely become hot topics of conversation, especially for Republicans as the party looks to retake control of the Senate.
There are 34 seats ready for the taking in the upper house. The GOP needs to win the 20 seats it currently holds and add some of the other 14 seats to gain the majority.

First on the must-watch list is the race in Georgia. The state unexpectedly went blue in 2020 for President Joe Biden, and Democrats won two highly contested Senate run-off elections. However, historically the state has voted red, so conservatives hope to turn the tables.
The frontrunner for the Republicans is former football star Herschel Walker, who will face Senator Raphael Warnock (D). Walker has a lot in his favor. Not only is he well-known and liked, but he has the backing of former President Donald Trump and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
Another state to keep an eye on is Arizona. Again, this traditionally red state went to Biden in 2020. After the turmoil with 2020 election audits, it’s unclear where this race may go. Senator Mark Kelly (D) may have to fight to keep his job against the current GOP frontrunner, the state’s attorney general Mark Brnovich.
Many of the states that flipped from red to blue in the 2020 election also have highly contested Senate races to watch, and some conservative states are also seeing contests heat up. These states include Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, Nevada, and New Hampshire. It will be an exciting time as election results come in next November.
