Joe Biden Slammed for Pushing Liberal Infrastructure Bill

Joe Biden Told to Stop Blocking Bipartisan Legislation

( – President Joe Biden successfully pushed his $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package through Congress without any Republican support in early March. On March 31, he unveiled a “once in a lifetime” infrastructure bill. Its proposed price tag comes in at a whopping $2.3 trillion. As stunning as that figure may appear, the real shocker is what the bill includes.

Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel got to the heart of the matter in an April 26 tweet. As she explained, the problem with Biden’s “infrastructure” proposal is the fact it proposes the use of massive amounts of taxpayer funds for projects unrelated to traditional infrastructure.

Continuing, McDaniel pointed out that Republicans have come up with a bill that actually involves traditional infrastructure projects, like the building of roads and bridges. Senate Republicans introduced their package on April 22. Its total projected cost is $568 billion, a fraction of Biden’s proposal.

The bill already has bipartisan support. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has stated the Republican plan is “a good starting point.” McDaniel concluded her tweet by saying it’s high time for Biden to quit “standing in the way of bipartisan legislation.”
