(ConservativeHub.com) – On Monday, June 19, a federal magistrate judge approved a motion to bar former President Donald Trump from disclosing any information relating to the classified documents found in Mar-a-Lago. The order came after lawyers stated that the probe into the issue was still underway, according to The Hill.

According to the order, Donald Trump would be allowed to see the evidence in this case but only when his attorneys were present. He is also blocked from discussing any of the information relating to this case with media outlets or on social media. These are similar to the guidelines that Trump has to follow in the hush money case he was indicted in New York.

Judge Bruce Reinhart, who had previously approved of the search warrant that allowed the FBI to look through Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, stated that the defendant would only be given access to the Discovery material when his attorneys were present. It was also noted that Trump was not allowed to retain any copies of the material in the Discovery.

Last week, the Department of Justice argued that restrictions for Donald Trump were necessary, as it was possible that the investigation could end up leading to additional arrests being made. The department also pointed out that all of the material shared during the Discovery process pertained to an ongoing probe. They added that having that material disclosed could potentially compromise not only the investigation but also the identity of individuals that might be charged in connection to the case in the future.
