Judge DECIDES – Huge Development in Trump Case!
(ConservativeHub.com) – When FBI agents raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, it raised questions about why they were there and what they were taking. After the raid, it came out that multiple classified records were located there. However, Trump later requested a special master to review the documents, and now, a judge has decided on an appointed special master.
On Thursday, September 15, US District Judge Aileen Cannon ruled that Judge Raymond Dearie would serve as the special master in Trump’s high-profile case. Dearie’s job is to sort through the over 11,000 papers taken from Mar-a-Lago, starting with the 100 most classified, to see whether investigators should lose access to any due to attorney-client or executive privileges.

President Ronald Reagan first nominated Dearie for his seat as a federal judge in 1986, after more than a decade of working as an assistant attorney in various divisions of the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. The government servant also held a seat on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, known as the FISA Court, giving him the security clearance needed to sift through such documents.
Trump had proposed two candidates for special master, including Dearie and Paul Huck Jr. The Justice Department had suggested two other possible picks as well, but ultimately agreed that Dearie would be an acceptable choice. According to a report from NPR, many have described Dearie as unbiased and fair in his judgments.
