( – On Friday, August 18, Musician Kid Rock was ridiculed online after photos of him drinking Bud Light were posted on Social Media. Previously, Kid Rock had blasted the beer for choosing to partner with social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The controversy involving Bud Light and Mulvaney led to boycotts among some groups.

NBC News’ Ben Collins took to X, previously known as Twitter, posting a TMZ story that showed Kid Rock with a Bud Light in his hand. Collins accused the musician of going “woke” in the post.

The photos obtained by TMZ were taken during Colt Ford’s show in Nashville, Tennessee, and were shared a single day after they were taken. Robert James Ritchie, better known as Kid Rock, was at the Skydeck of the venue holding and drinking Bud Light from a can.

Several months before this photo was captured, Kid Rock had posted a video attacking Bud Light for their collaboration with Mulvaney. In the video posted earlier this year, the 52-year-old musician had stated “F*** Bud Light and f*** Anheuser-Busch.” The video gathered a lot of notoriety and even led to model Bri Teresi recreating the video and shooting many items that she claimed had been turning “woke.”

Following the new photo on social media, many users pointed out the seeming inconsistency, with some even mocking Kid Rock.

As reported by Newsweek, MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan wrote on social media that Kid Rock had not only pushed for boycotting Bud Light, but he had also used an AR-15 to shoot a case of Bud Light, only to then start drinking Bud Light again publicly.
