Kobe Bryant TRIAL Starts – Police Have Questions To Answer
(ConservativeHub.com) – In January 2020, Kobe Bryant flew with his daughter and some of her teammates to a basketball tournament when the pilot made an error and sent the helicopter they were in crashing into the hills in west Los Angeles. All nine people aboard the flight died in the accident. Now, Bryant’s widow, Vanessa, is seeking compensation because emergency workers allegedly took photos of her husband’s and daughter’s corpses at the crash scene and shared them with others, something she believes was an invasion of privacy.
On Wednesday, August 10, Los Angeles County court officials swore in jurors at the courthouse where Bryant filed suit. The judge expects the trial to last 9 or 10 days as the jury hears testimonies about the photos taken of the late basketball star and his daughter.

According to ABC News, the lawsuit states Vanessa Bryant believes many people “gawked” at images of her husband’s dead body, something that haunts her and her children to this day. In response, LA County is arguing that the widow is suffering emotional distress from her family members’ deaths instead of from accident scene photos that responders shared, which the sheriff asked staff to delete.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy testified in the court this week, according to CBS News, admitting he took 25 pictures at the crash site and sent them to a fire supervisor and a command post deputy. However, he said that he didn’t believe this action was wrong. Attorneys claim he sent the photos to multiple other people as well, who shared them inappropriately.
When the Kobe Bryant crash happened, it was a traumatizing start to a tumultuous year for many Americans, especially basketball lovers who watched the NBA star throughout his career. Do you think this trial will help lay him to rest and honor his legacy?
