Liberals Threaten Mass Exodus As Elon Musk Takeover Becomes Reality
(ConservativeHub.com) – When the news broke that Twitter had accepted Elon Musk’s buyout deal on April 25, some people didn’t take it well. Breitbart reported many verified accounts threatened to leave the platform if the agreement went through. #LeavingTwitter had been trending since the negotiation talks began, and some people noted how the situation seemed to match the one that occurred when Donald Trump won the US presidency in 2016.
The blue checkmark brigade is a group of Leftist Twitter users with the blue check indicating verification on their profile. Many are the same people who said they would move to Canada if Trump became president. Since they’re still here, it seems they’re mostly all talk and no action, yet they continue to threaten to leave Twitter once Musk becomes the owner.

The only move Musk has made regarding running the platform is a promise to focus on promoting free speech. According to CBS News, some of those promising to say goodbye to Twitter state they fear the community guidelines won’t remain in place, leading to the expression of more hate on their feeds. So, apparently, the brigade really is against the free flow of ideas and opinions.
