(ConservativeHub.com) – On Sunday, April 28, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) claimed that all of the criminal cases former President Donald Trump is facing are “selective prosecution.”
During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Graham told host Dana Bask that Trump’s legal battles were all “political.” In his comments, he made note of the Manhattan courtroom where Trump’s first case was.
Graham called for her to ask him if his perspective would change if Trump ended up being convicted in any of his cases, and he said that it wouldn’t. He said that he believes that this is “selective prosecution.” He continued arguing that the case in New York “is eight years ago”, and that it is an “outrage.” He also said he believes that they “created a crime” only for the former President.
Trump is currently facing a total of 34 counts of falsifying business records over a reimbursement payment he was accused of making to his former lawyer Michael Cohen. This was related to a hush money payment allegedly made adult film star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her remaining quiet regarding an alleged affair. Trump has pleaded not guilty and has denied the affair.
Trump is facing a total of four different indictments and 88 criminal charges across all of them. He has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
Graham has argued that the majority of voters are concerned about their issues more than they are about the legal cases against Trump.
