Liz Cheney TARGETS Top Republican – Calls Him A “Threat”
(ConservativeHub.com) – Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) has been a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump. She has cast votes for impeachment and serves on the January 6 committee, but she is far from finished bashing the former Commander in Chief. During an acceptance speech for the John F Kennedy Profile in Courage Award on May 22, Cheney lashed out at Trump.
The representative called the former president a “threat.” She said he tried to undermine the Constitution with his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Cheney accused him of being the only president not to ensure a peaceful transition of power and implied she had a duty to fight against him despite partisan politics.

Cheney is running for reelection, trying to hold onto her seat against serious opposition from many members of the GOP, who have labeled her a Republican in name only (RINO). NPR reported the Wyoming GOP ousted the representative in November 2021 after the Wyoming Republican central committee censured her in February. The state only gets one representative in the US House, and POLITICO reported in March that Cheney’s chances of retaining her position are slim due to strong opposition from Trump supporters.
