(ConservativeHub.com) – A new poll by the Economist/YouGov determined that regardless of party, the majority of participants have stated that they agree with Hunter Biden being convicted in his gun possession case.
In the survey, it was found that 67 percent of respondents either somewhat or strongly approved of the guilty verdict of Hunter Biden. Biden had been found guilty earlier this month by a 12-person jury in Delaware which convicted them on all three felony counts.
Hunter Biden was found to be guilty of lying regarding his drug usage when he applied to buy a gun in 2018.
Around 62 percent of Democratic-leaning respondents stated that they approve of the verdict, while only 20 percent disapproved. Another 22 percent stated that they were unsure about it. When it came to the Republican-leaning respondents, 86 percent stated that they approved of the conviction, while the disapproval rate was only 5 percent. Nine percent stated that they were unsure about it.
The pollsters pointed out that the results of this survey differ greatly when compared to a similar poll that was conducted last month in connection to Trump’s guilty verdict. In that survey, almost all Trump supporters had disapproved while almost all Biden supporters had approved of the conviction.
During the gun trial, lawyers pointed out that Hunter Biden had previously been addicted to crack cocaine. Prosecutors said that this case was not just about drugs, but rather that it was focused on Hunter Biden’s choice to lie during the purchase of a firearm.
