(ConservativeHub.com) – A man walked away from his life six years ago after facing charges of possessing child pornography. He tried to fake his death, but federal authorities didn’t buy it. They continued looking for him, and on April 4, US Marshals brought him to justice.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Jacob Channce Greer in 2016 after finding him with child pornography. The court released him from custody with an ankle monitor to live with his grandmother in Des Moines, Iowa.

Greer reportedly cut off his monitor and fled on May 31, 2016. When officials began investigating, they discovered a red herring: his abandoned vehicle with a suicide note. However, they continued to look for him because they never found his body.
Officers tracked him to Tuchuck Campground in Montana, and the last recorded sighting of the offender was on June 3, 2016, in a Montana Walmart. After that, authorities say he likely lived in the wilderness for a while before moving to Washington state, where he worked odd jobs and stayed in homeless shelters.
On April 4, US Marshals caught up with him at a house in Washington, where they placed him under arrest once again. He currently is in the Seattle Federal Detention Center awaiting his day in court after six long years on the run.
