Man Gets 20 Years Behind Bars for Supporting ISIS

ISIS Supporter LEARNS His Fate

( – The FBI has dedicated itself to seeking out and prosecuting terrorists to keep the US safe. The agency recently succeeded when a Florida man pleaded guilty to promoting a bomb-making video he hoped ISIS members could use in their terrorist missions.

On May 13, 2021, Romeo Xavier Langhorne, 32, admitted to trying to spread material in support of ISIS. His story starts in 2014 when he first pledged his allegiance to the terrorist group. Sometime between 2018 and 2019, the criminal reaffirmed his commitment to ISIS and shared his desire to make and share an instructional video on bomb-making. In February 2019, he began working with an undercover FBI agent to create the media.

After the FBI made the video per Langhorne’s instructions using non-explosive materials, the Florida man uploaded it to a website and agents arrested him soon after at a residence in Roanoke, Virginia.

Although he admitted his guilt to his charges last May, a judge didn’t pass sentence until Thursday, July 7, giving Langhorne 20 years in federal prison, with an additional 15 years of supervised release. With the bombmaker now behind bars, the FBI confirmed it will “remain as vigilant as ever” to protect American citizens from foreign and domestic threats like this man.
