
(ConservativeHub.com) – A rideshare driver in Chicago was reportedly subjected to a violent assault on September 5. This alarming incident involved several young women, with one of them aggressively using what seemed to be a pipe, culminating in the theft of the driver’s car.
The confrontation was captured in clear detail on the official police surveillance cameras. The video evidence paints a vivid picture of the events as they unfolded at the bustling intersection of 22nd Place and Princeton Avenue, located in the heart of Chicago’s Chinatown district. Local law enforcement promptly shared details of the incident with media agencies, stating that the 62-year-old driver was merely steps away from the safety of his home when he was attacked.
The video reveals a disturbing sequence of events. The unsuspecting driver, on reaching his destination, was abruptly accosted by three young women. As he tried to evade them, two from the group quickly closed in, overpowering him with sheer force. A third member of the group was caught on camera striking the already subdued driver with an object, reportedly a pipe.
After that, the trio allegedly took possession of the driver’s car keys and escaped in his vehicle.
Danxin Shi, who was the victim of the alleged attack, spoke to the media about the incident. According to Fox 32 Chicago, Mike Poppish from the city’s police department called Shi “brave” for stepping forward.
No new reports have revealed whether or not the car has been retrieved or if any arrests have been made in the case.
