Man Suffers Injuries After Alleged Beaver Attack

( – You hear a lot about people getting bitten by wild dogs, bears, alligators, or even mountain lions. However, you might be surprised to learn that a number of individuals suffer beaver attacks every year. This incident details the story of Massachusetts resident Mark Pieraccini who was left clinging to life in the wake of a savage beaver attack on September 6.

According to Pieraccini, he was minding his own business taking a leisurely swim in a Franklin County pond when an angry beaver approached him. The beaver launched a vicious attack, leaving Pieraccini fighting not to drown.

Pieraccini received treatment at a local hospital for his injuries, including multiple puncture wounds, scratches, lacerations, and sections of missing flesh from his arm and leg. He also sustained a torn tendon on one finger and a fractured knuckle, presumably from fighting back against the fierce beaver. Additionally, he had to start taking shots to protect against the onset of rabies.

Mr. Pieraccini told local reporters he became exhausted long before the beaver gave up on the fight. He related that he told himself at one point, “If I stop and fight him one more time, I’m going to drown.”

Fortunately, all is well that ends well, and Pieraccini says he is doing much better now after a little rest, relaxation, and recovery.
