Man Who Killed Deadly Shooter Identified

Good Guy With A Gun IDENTIFIED – We Know His Name!

(ConservativeHub.com) – Just before closing on July 17, a man exited the bathroom at the Greenwood Park Mall and began shooting. He claimed the lives of three people and injured an additional two before a good guy with a gun stopped him. Elisjsha Dicken legally carried a firearm and stepped up to stop the criminal from harming anyone else.

The 22-year-old became known as a Good Samaritan and a hero after his actions that evening. The shooter fired 24 rounds from a rifle within the mall’s food court before Dicken, shopping with his girlfriend at the time of the incident, stopped him.

Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison released the courageous young man’s identity with permission. Officials also reported the names of the victims who died as Pedro Pineda, Rosa Mirian Rivera de Pineda, and Victor Gomez. Authorities credit Dicken with preventing the loss of additional lives.

Greenwood Mayor Mark Myers praised Dickens for his quick thinking. Representative Jim Banks (R-IL) tweeted his respect for the Good Samaritan, also offering prayers for the victims.

Despite his heroic actions and legal right to carry a gun, the 22-year-old violated mall policy, according to Newsweek. The property owners ban weapons from the premises. It’s unknown whether the mall will take action against him.
