Former Stormy Daniels Lawyer PLEADS GUILTY to Disgusting Crimes
(ConservativeHub.com) – Attorney Michael Avenatti is currently serving time in prison for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from one of his most famous clients, adult film actress Stormy Daniels. The year after that conviction, a judge sentenced him to 30 additional months behind bars for attempting to extort Nike for $25 million. Now, Avenatti faces a third round of sentencing after pleading guilty to numerous counts of fraud.
On Thursday, June 16, Avenatti, 51, who represented himself in this case, pleaded guilty to tax crimes in Southern California and four counts of wire fraud. Apparently, he embezzled money from numerous clients and tried to obstruct the IRS. United States District Judge James Selna set the sentencing date for September 19, although prosecutors could push the date back by trying him on more charges.

With the convictions as they stand, Avenatti could spend up to 83 years in federal prison, needing to pay around $5 million in unpaid taxes and an estimated $9 million in restitution payments to his fraud victims.
This now-disgraced California lawyer has reportedly stolen money from clients to buy private jets, all while lying to those he pretended to defend. He admitted to his wrongdoing and told the judge that he understood he could spend quite a bit of time behind bars for his crimes.
