Judge Boyce ordered her discharged from the mental health facility into the custody of the Fremont County Sheriff. She will go before the court for her arraignment, scheduled for April 19. He also lifted the stay that has been in place since June 2021.

Daybell faces charges for first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder along with her husband, Chad Daybell, in the deaths of Tylee, 16, and JJ, 7. Their trials should begin in January 2023.

The case became well known after JJ and Tylee’s grandparents reported them missing in November 2019. Lori and Chad fled from their home in Idaho to Hawaii before law enforcement could intervene. Lori was arrested first on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including desertion of her children and resisting an officer. Once the children’s remains were found, authorities also arrested Chad and charged them with the murders.
