Carjacker Gets HORRIFYING Surprise While Attempting To Steal Car

(ConservativeHub.com) – Most mothers will do just about anything for their children. From persevering through numerous sleepless nights to throwing extravagant birthday parties, a caretaker’s job is never done. But, when one New Mexico woman’s children were in danger during a carjacking, she put her own life on the line to stop it.

On Monday, July 4, Melody Maldonado was getting ready to get in her car when someone shoved her aside and stole her car with her two children, ages 6 and almost 1, in the back. Thinking on her feet, the mom leapt onto the hood, attempting to stop the carjacker but was unsuccessful. Instead, the thief kept driving and swerved to throw her off.

Maldonado fell off and noticed she had a broken ankle before going to call the police. Eventually, the carjacker dropped the 6-year-old daughter off on the side of the road before abandoning the car soon after.

However, she didn’t get far. Police eventually found and arrested her after the incident. Castillo already has a long rap sheet, including three outstanding arrest warrants. Now, child abuse, evading an officer, and stealing a motor vehicle are also on the list of charges against her.

Luckily, this story had a happy ending for the children and their Mother. This story illustrates how fearless this mother is and the lengths so many loving parents will go to while protecting their children.
