Sports Star CHARGED With Felony – He’s In Big Trouble!
(ConservativeHub.com) – Sometimes, a routine traffic stop turns into something bigger if the police suspect something illegal is taking place. For instance, when a Kentucky State Trooper pulled over Charlotte Hornets NBA forward Montrezl Harrell for following too closely, it turns out Harrell was allegedly doing more than driving against the rules.
On Thursday, May 12, a state trooper stopped Harrell in Richmond, Kentucky. Upon speaking with the driver, the trooper smelled marijuana and searched the car. His search turned up vacuum-sealed bags containing three pounds of marijuana in the backseat, which the officer then seized.

The seven-year NBA veteran previously played for the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets before joining the Hornets in February. The state has charged him with trafficking less than five pounds of marijuana, and he could spend up to five years in prison and face a $10,000 fine if convicted.
The NBA player’s arraignment was scheduled for Monday, June 13, but got postponed until July 13 in Madison County District Court. If convicted, the 28-year-old will have a Class D felony on his record. Because Harrell planned to become a free agent this summer, his future in the NBA is now in question while he faces these charges.
