New Super PAC to Elect Female Republicans Brings in Big Fundraising Haul

(ConservativeHub.com) – Fundraising and endorsements are critical for candidates if they want to win an election. Both provide resources and legitimacy to their campaigns, helping their platform reach more potential voters. One new super PAC hopes to give a leg up to GOP women looking to take over the governor’s seat in their states.

On Wednesday, April 6, Right Direction Women officially launched. The group focuses on putting “women leaders with strong conservative credentials” into governors’ offices nationwide. According to Fox News, the super PAC has already raised $1 million in funds to pass along to candidates. The group highlighted why their work is so important with a video on Twitter:

In its first official move, Right Direction Women endorsed former Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch for Governor of Wisconsin in her bid to unseat incumbent Governor Tony Evers. The group hopes to put strong female leaders like Sarah Huckabee Sanders in her gubernatorial bid for Arkansas.

While half of US voters are female, only 18% of current governors are women, and only 31 of the 50 US states have ever had a female governor. By rallying people behind their cause, Right Direction Women hopes to make the leaders of America better reflect its people.
