(ConservativeHub.com) – Former GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley has warned former President Donald Trump and Republicans that they should start preparing for the Democrats to bring on a younger candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
Following the first presidential debate on Thursday night, Haley gave an interview with The Wall Street Journal where she asserted that the Democrats needed to drop President Joe Biden from the presidential ticket after his performance.
She argued that they would be “smart about it” and bring a “younger” and more “vibrant” candidate who has been “tested.” She noted that the GOP needed to prepare for what was about to come. She argued that if Joe Biden was allowed to continue being the presidential candidate, then the Democratic Party would not survive.
Newsmax reported that despite the rocky relationship between Haley and Trump, they seem to have moved beyond that in the face of a “weak” president. Haley has argued that U.S. adversaries have seen the weakened state of the President and that they know they have until next Inauguration Day to do what they want.
Haley stated that after she watched the debate with her family and friends, she could see that the President was in trouble and once again argued that there needed to be mandatory cognitive testing for U.S. candidates. She noted that she believes the debate was shocking for many people as Trump appeared strong, but it did not matter as Biden had seemed to be completely “unfit” for office. She expressed her concern that Biden couldn’t “grasp topics” or keep his train of thought.
