(ConservativeHub.com) – Jeffrey Epstein may be dead, but the tangled web of evil he left behind is still unraveling. Now, an old agreement involving Epstein and victim Virginia Giuffre may become a bargaining chip for Prince Andrew in his own legal troubles tied to his association with the disgraced financier.
Attorneys representing Prince Andrew want to use a 2009 agreement between Epstein and Giuffre to get the civil case against him thrown out of court. Giuffre’s attorney, David Boies, says the deal has no bearing on the prince; there is nothing about him in it. However, the prince’s lawyers say a broad reference to Epstein’s associates and specific mention of royalty absolves Prince Andrew from civil claims against him.

Giuffre alleges the prince subjected her to forced sexual contact when she was under the age of 18. She is seeking damages. The case could go to court in the fall unless they reach a settlement. Fighting things out in court may result in embarrassment for the Royal Family, as personal details will likely come out during discovery.
The Epstein/Giuffre agreement became public on January 3 after US District Judges Lewis Kaplan and Loretta Preska ordered its unsealing. Justice Kaplan heard Prince Andrew’s arguments to dismiss the case on January 4.
