Paul Pelosi Enters Not Guilty Plea Over DUI Charge

Paul Pelosi Case HEATS UP – He Just Made a Big Gamble!

(ConservativeHub.com) – If you’re going to drink at a party, always make a plan for someone else to drive you home. Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), seemingly didn’t take this piece of wisdom to heart this spring when driving back to his multi-million dollar California vineyard from a nearby party. Facing DUI charges stemming from an accident, he entered a not guilty plea this week, hoping to avoid a fine and jail time.

On May 28, Mr. Pelosi was driving home from a cocktail party when he collided with a Jeep on the road a little after 10 p.m. Over an hour after officers arrived at the scene, they arrested and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol and having a 0.08% or high blood alcohol concentration (BAC). According to CBS News, he had a 0.082% BAC about two hours after the crash.

On Wednesday, August 3, Pelosi’s attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. If convicted, he could spend at least five days in jail and have an additional five years probation. His bail already cost him $5,000, and he may have to pay to complete a drunk driver education course and install a breathalyzer on his vehicle.

According to a report from Fox News, the Speaker’s husband could have saved a lot of time and money if he had simply ordered an Uber or taxi ride.
