U.S. MISSILES Launched – It’s Official
(ConservativeHub.com) – Nations are constantly developing newer, faster, and sneakier weapons than the ones before, prompting other countries to create defenses against those new weapons. So, with reports claiming both Russia and China have already successfully launched hypersonic missiles, it was only a matter of time before the United States followed suit.
On Wednesday, July 13, the US Air Force completed a test of an Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) developed by Lockheed Martin. According to Reuters, this class of weapons travels over five times the speed of sound at approximately 3,853 miles per hour. The successful launch took place off the coast of California after a previous attempt where the booster did not disconnect from the aircraft.

The Pentagon announced that the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) also completed a hypersonic missile weapon test in New Mexico’s White Sands Missile Range as part of its Operational Fires program. In contrast to the other missile, a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launcher fired this one from the ground.
